i've installed SSH on my iphone, and SSHFS (via MacFuse) on my mac.
now i searched a lot and found that where the photos are saved (from the camera), there is always a file called "IMG_0036.THM".
now, these are the thumbnails, generated on the iPhone.

when you open them in a texteditor, you see on the first line:
"Photoshop 3.08BIM" followed with some "exif".
now, renamed to .jpg (insteat ot .THM) opend in preview, normal jpegs.

so, how did the tag get in the jpg? when i searched for "Photoshop 3.08BIM" lots of .doc and .ppt came out of google.

whats going on.

does microsoft office and the iphone have the same library to generate JPGs?
or is one of the hidden features of the iPhone a full version of "Adobe Photoshop CS3 mobile" (hey a man can dream)

it propably does, but these .THM files are the thumbnails generated from the pictures taken with the built-in camera.
therefor, IF it means "its made with photoshop", then there must be some part of the code of photoshop (maybe just a lib to create jpgs) inside the iphone.

Digital cameras use the the method. It creates the image on your media and also creates a .THM to go with it.
