Default [PC] [iTune] [Encoding] What do you use to encode videos?

i need a bit of help with encoding videos for iTune, which will be synced with my iPhone to watch on the move (or in the office )

i've tryed a few free programs, but none of them are multi-threaded. so encoding an hour video takes about 30min.

anyone know any multi-threaded encoding tool? so it is possible to encode at 4x the single threaded speed. hard drive speed isn't an issue, using 4GB RAMdisk, and its instant access, only processing speed is the issue.

what do you use to encode your video?
