Angry [patch request] any way to split the contorl in the ipod and the ringing volume??

here is a new stupid thing from iphone and that was expected as they don't have experience with mobile phones,I use my ipod in my iphone daily, when I'm walking and I use the headphones so to control the volume while I'm walking I just press on that bottom that on the side of my iphone to put it high or low( the volume of the ipod)and always i start with high then i go low SO when i put it on low volume it makes the volume of the RINGER also low so when someone calls me after stop using to the nice ipod, the ringer is on the low cause i pressed that bottom when i was hearing the ipod to make ipod low...by the end i can't hear my iphone and the all the calls after the ipoding is lost.......

really I like to hear your comments and I need your Help if there is a solution

To the best of my knowledge no, but search here on "volume", and on www.modmyifone.com.

The ringer volume and ipod volume are independent. Changing the ipod volume does not effect the ringer volume.

I would suggest you must be pressing the volume down button when not using the ipod if your ringer volume goes down low.

All volumes are seperate from each other in their settings. Ringer, Ipod speaker, Ipod headphones, Bluetooth headset.

Each has its own setting and changing them does not effect other volumes, this has been so since the iphone was released.

    Good Luck

    Exactly.

But I have heard this complaint (1st post above) before, mostly from 1.1.1 users... maybe it was a bug back then...

That is what hes talking about. When you press the buttons on the side without the ipod running, it will say "Ringer" on the HUD. Which means it changes the ringer volume.

But when you press it when using ipod it just shows the speaker icon, and only adjusts the volume of the music.

    Maybe you have a bug.
