Default Is it out yet, the firmware?

Anyone restored in iTunes recently? Is the new firmware out yet?

I'm about to start unlocking right now, is it safe to do a restore i iTunes today?

I think i saw somewhere that there was a way on the iphone to check what firmware was installed without connecting to iTunes, anyone remember?

When you update firmware via itunes and click restore you get a disclaimer / t&c box which tells you what version firmware you are about to install before it starts.

I unpackaged my new iPhone and followed the guide below step by step, I found a bottle of red wine helped no end

Worked a treat, was worrying before hand but turned out to be totally painless. Just remember follow it to the letter of the word.
