Default Open iphone w/out tools, no scratches!

Last night i was showing off my unlocked iphone to a friend and i was pretending to very carefully hand it to him with two hands.

Serves me right for being a smart ass because i dropped it on the table and the black cover just popped off!

For those that wish to replicate this method, i dropped it from no more than 12 inches (that's about 300mm for those of us that live in this millennium) onto a wooden desk. It dropped directly onto the black cover, maybe slightly more on one corner than the other. the phone was facing screen up and was at about a 60 degree to the horizontal when it hit the desk.

It snapped back on easily but i notice it's looser now than when it was new.. which is annoying because when you talk that's where you hold it and you can feel it's loose.

I had not opened it before that (did a turbo-sim unlock).

Will you start offering this as a paid service? You might be able to make some quick bucks off the more gullible iphone users here

i intend to.. but only in bulk to resellers who order 500,000 or more packages (up front).

my method is both software and hardware based. the resellers will provide my 'Geo-Drop' software and you'll also have to buy my 'Turbo-Dropper Device' from Romania.

The Turbo-Dropper device has a stand and plugs into a USB port. It clamps the iphone in place then (using lasers) scans the surface of the desk. It feeds this info to my Geo-Drop software which does a 3D surface map using standard triangulation methods.

The system then positions the iphone at exactly the right orientation and drops it.

    Job done!!

I'm planning further upgrades that will be able to measure the Rockwell hardness of the desk so if it's too soft it will increase the height of the drop.

However, I'm very sorry that I can't guarantee that my system will work on future antenna cover upgrades.

I'm trying to make this all happen quickly because i have heard a rumour that Apple is going to start selling an iphone opener on the 5th Sept.

I'd be very careful Joe before announcing this service, you don't want to be getting that 2.54am lawyer phone call on behalf of 'rival dropper' companies round the world...

Feel free to release the dropping-FAQ though....

If it is loose than I think it has not clicked fully back into place yet. Could be the case, anyway... no pun intended.
