Right i'll try keep this short.

I currently have an IPhone 3GS it was on 3.1.2 with blackra1n back before spirit, I rushed to update with spirit as it was a tethered jb, of course Bam i messed up, so i reinstalled 3.1.2 with a .ipsw file i found some place on the net,

I used this to keep 3.1.2 as i didnt want to goto 3.1.3 yet, After this there was no MMS of any kind etc, when itunes was on it did install a carrier update but still no go, After installing a few other things(i cant remember now) i somehow managed to get the mms to show up in messenger app, I then installed something to give me access to the tethering options.

Sometime later (when i finally use it) MMS won't actually send and there is no Setttings->General->Data carrier settings, Now i've tried installing loads(About 5-6 so far) of different IPCC carrier update files (as per the other thread on the issue)

But there STILL is no Settings shown up and STILL MMS won't send, Kinda hoping i can somehow not have to restore again as reinstalling all the apps from cydia is such a pain in the ass, As is remember all the little niggles and nobs that i've collected.

Sorry if this has(Of course it has) been brought up but i've searched and searched but i just cant seem to fix this bloody thing

re-restore maybe. are you att? move up to 3.1.3 and use spirit. I've done it for 3 iphones including my own and it's extremely easy. I'm sure you didn't mess up when you tried just sometimes there are hiccupps and you try again and it goes smoothly. Otherwise I"m sure there are others here who can be more helpful than myself. good luck
