Question Oh NOOO!!! SW unlock and a Huge problem!

    Ok. This was my process:

    Restored to 1.0.2
    AppTapp to Jailbreak
    PACAY
    iBrickr to install Unlock.pxl
    Ran Unlock

and the Unlock worked. T-Mobile US working.

Gave iPhone to friend to play with. and he pressed unlock again and start...and all hell broke loose.

Now no sim is recognized. not tmo not att. Tried restore... but itunes said to put a valid sim in...even tho ATT sim was in. Did hard reset. then restore, which worked, but when it came back up it still said invalid sim.

    I re-ran AppTapp...still said invalid sim.
re-ran PACAY... still said incalid sim, even tho the phone was jailbroken
ran iBrickr to install Unlock.pxl, ran it, and that is where i am now. if this doesn't work then i am gonna need some serious help.

if it does, then hopefully it will be helpful to someone else who was as big an idiot as my friend.

Have you tried running the unlock software again and let it complete?

Where's the hacked lockdownd (link?) and would placing it in there via SFTP be fine?

What the hell is up with the forum today?

Anyway, if it doesn't work out with me just running the free unlock GUI application then I'm going to try this method using Windows.

yes, i did it by installing the unlock app with ibrickr, then uninstallling it...

(I had already installed with winstaller, but since winstaller doesnt have a remove function, i just reinstalled on top of it with ibrickr pxl, then uninstaller from ibrickr)
