Offline SW Unlock from IPSF???
I received an email from IPSF today and this line caught my attention.
"We are expect a huge flood of enquiries from Tuesday as iPhonesimfree unlocks will be performed by many online and offline resellers. Therefore please bear with us if you should experience any lengthy delays in hearing back from us but rest assured we will get back to you."
Offline resellers. Does that mean the resellers can perform the unlock without ever going online to connect to the IPSF server???? Now that would mean a full unlock and hackable solution right? Anyone care to venture into a discussion about this?

I think you got this wrong:
- online reseller sells via eBay or his own website
- offline reseller is a shop at the next corner
no offline unlock - at least not with the IPSF solution. this works only via their server to validate the unlock permission online.

No, just means an actual store such as Bongo Wireless, where you'd go in and they would sell you the app, or install it themselves. Rather than a place like http://www.iphoneworldwideunlock.com which would be considered an online reseller.

I also that email from ipsf. I really don't know what that means but my guess is that they might give u software which you cab unlock the phone ur self but will not work after the amount of liceneses you have purchased from them.
We will know really really soon.
They got my money so its time for them to send me the software so that more people can use the iPhone in Thailand!!!

what will be interesting will be if they change your root password and you are then beholden to their future software in some way....
interesting..

Is changing the root password back a problem?
