And by the way: Get off poor TRASH. He's got enough to do paying off his debts now I guess. I also paid for the SIMfree solution, but don't give a f*** now it's unlocked thanks to the genious DEV team... Maybe because you said you didn't install the BSD & Community Resources then you'll need the termcap. I think this would be a great replacement since it only has a tiny size, compared to both BSD & Community Resources packages.
Anyone confirm this would works ?

I just wanted to add my confirmation that this unlock method does work. I needed to add one more file to my phone in order to get minicom to work: /etc/termcap

I used the version I found here:

http://lpahome.com/iPhone/termcap

Otherwise minicom failed on load saying that no termcap file was found.

PS. I didn't need to use Installer.app or put BSD/Community Sources on my phone. Likely if you've installed SSH, you have what you need.

after you unlock the iphone you may insert your SIM

I need help guys I was following the guide on this site http://iphone.unlock.no/#minicom-config-file and when I type the minicom this error shows up.

minicom: WARNING: configuration file not found, using defaults
minicom: cannot open /dev/modem: No such file or directory

What am I doing wrong? Help please.
