Unlocked 3 iPhones with success in Virgina. YouTube and Yahoo both working.
Any other unlocked Virginians out there.

Hi DMunkie, I'm in D.C., and I'm about to purchase an iPhone now that I can software unlock it to work with T-Mobile. Did you unlock yours via software or hardware?

Fredericksburg Va here and just picked up a 8gb a hour ago and got it unlocked thanx to info here but I cant get the internet to work and I have the edge settings in like they should be.

I'm having the same issue - can't get EDGE to work on TMobile. The iPhone has been unlocked and I can make/receive phone calls. WiFi is working great. I have added the T-Mobile Total Internet Add-on with hotspots for $19.99 and validated that it is on my account.

Under the \Settings\General\Network\EDGE\ I have the APN set to wap.voicestream.com and the username and password are both blank.

Very annoying.

If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated!

I ordered a refurb iphone Monday. Now I am waiting for the iphone to arrive in mail. Northern VA (Near Ft. Belvoir) here.

you can downgrade to 5.99 tzones instead and get everything except text messages thats what tmobile told me when they were helping me with the internet issue. She said i was the third person today calling for help about the iphone and she knew exactly where to tell me to go on the phone to make the changes granted its still not working though she said i may have to wait abit after changing from my sidekick plan back to tzones.

i read that you can get the t-zone to work as long as you make changes to one of the .pac file or something.

apn should be internet2.voicestream.com
username - blank
password - blank

Try using guest for both username and password. That worked with the full internet T-Mobile package.
