is this normal.. i dont have summerboard installed however when my screen was full of 16 apps i installed another one and didnt realize that i didnt install summerboard.. however when i went back to springboard it automatically let me scroll left and right on my springboard with more apps

Yes it is normal, firmware 1.1.1+ have support for horizontal scrolling on springboard.

When you jailbreaked, it automatically ran the springbaord patch to enable this.

alright thanks a lot.. because i wasnt too sure about this.. and i just thought that maybe apple is already preparing for their sdk launch.. lol

Mine doesn't work. Only side scrolling and can't get anything other than a black screen.
