No wi-fi problem iphone 3G
this problem started happening randomly and it would seem to fix it self randomly after restart or after waking up and seeing it magically fixed. that happened for 2-3 days and then the rest it stayed on the grayed out no wifi.
i just everything upto factory restore, and nothing.
the only solution that i found is this, Swifi.
Wifi Fixer [iPhone Dev Team]
which is over a year old and i don't think programs like ibooter still work and i cant find any other solution.

This solution is ONLY for 2G iPhones. Not 3G ones.
Did you use blacksn0w on your 3G? Are you running baseband 05.11.07?

i am running version 3.1.2 with the newest baseband 5.12.01. im one of thoes unlucky ones where i cant downgrade my baseband through fuzzyband because it has 5.09 bootloader.
it was jalbroken with blackrain .
this problem started happening over a month ago, wifi would randomly stop working and be fine the next day or after a restart. and then it stopped working for good, i did a restore in itunes and that's how i accidentally updated my firmware.
when i go to settings, general, about i have N/A for my wifi address. bluetooth and everything else is fine.

Is it still under warranty? Do you use blacksn0w?

Re: No wi-fi problem iphone 3G
I was not saying you should try blacksn0w (was asking about if you had used blacksn0w because it can cause wifi problems)
Can you install sbsettings syslog toggle, turn on syslog then restart the phone and post the syslog logfile on pastebin. The point of this is to see more detail of the wifi initialisation process during boot. That can help identify what the cause of your wifi problem is.

dose the syslog indicate anything about why my wifi stopped working?
or if its fixable or not.
