Here's what you do:
Test to see if your iPod function has any noise. If yes, then I really don't know what you have to do. If the iPod part of it has no sound as well (I mean through the speakers) then all you have to do is plug in the headphones, stick it in really hard, try to force it/move it around a tiny bit, then take them out. If it still doesn't work, try again.
Hope this helps.
Current Setup:
Apple iPhone 8GB Use on Rogers in Canada
Apple MacBook Air: 1.6GHz C2D, 2GB RAM, 80GB HDD
Bose Companion 5, Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse and Keyboard
Retired:
Apple iMac: 20", 2.16GHz C2D, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD (work)
Apple MacBook: 2.2GHz C2D, 2GB RAM, 120GB HDD
Apple MacBook Black: 2.0GHz CD, 2GB RAM, 80GB HDD
Apple iPhone 4GB. Use on Fido in Canada
yea sometimes the iphone thinks that the headphones is still in the jack, so there is no sound coming out. try pluggin and unplugging your earphones again
Break your iPhone
If i recieve the call then its fine. I saw answer and then i can hear them
If i make a call then i have to double click on the speaker then i can hear them
I had this problem, there is a thread here somewhere that explain how to solve this. It is quite hard though. It involves re-instaling the baseband. It is pretty much the same process used to downgrade the baseband from 1.1 to 1.02, except that in this particular case you will be just reinstalling the 1.02 baseband.
After doing it it solved my problem.
Try search function in the forum. If you don't have anyluck contact me.
Guide
It's a very simple proccess, tested on my iphone 1.0.2.
1- Use iBrickr to install Mobile Terminal to your iphone
2- Use ibrickr to upload the file ICE03.14.08_G.eep & bbupdater to the /usr/bin/ directory of the iphone no need for the ICE03.14.08_G.fls.
3- Run the terminal application and type the following:
cd /usr/bin/
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
RESTART ur iphone and ur problem will be fixed. Enjoy incoming sms and outgoing call without any problems.
NO NEED TO UNLOCK UR PHONE AGAIN.
