Hey all,

I have unlocked a few iphones with no trouble, but a customer is complaining that when he syncs with itunes the iphones looses its service and "No Service" comes up, along with a repair message

Any ideas?

Can you clarify the "repair" message? Did you mean to say a "restore" message?

I remember reading in one of the threads -- perhaps I imagined it -- that while you're syncing your telephone with iTunes the telephone will send any calls received during this time directly to vmail -- once again, I can't recall if this is the case, though I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear that it is.

This having been said, I've never noticed a no service message during a sync. This said, assuming that you can't receive a call during the sync process, the first thing that you need to understand is what the phone "shutdowns" during the sync (the commcenter?).

Sorry, not much help I'm afraid. I'm away from my home computer now and can't test it out for you. This said, the no service message is a bit odd.

I am picking the phone up later so I will test it and report back with the actual error message
