You probably know how to enable free custom iPhone ringtone with SendSong from Installer. But now, you can create these free ringtones with Apple’s GarageBand. With GarageBand 4.1.1. recent update, you can now create free custom ringtones for your iPhone.

Previously, you can only create ringtone for the purchased song in iTunes.

Here is how to do so. Be sure to update your GarageBand to 4.1.1 through Software Update.

Step 4. Drag the file we converted in Step 1 to the basic track.

Step 5. Select Control > Show Editor. Choose the 40 seconds of music that you want to use as ringtone.(click for a larger picture)

Step 6. Cut that part. Select all of the other parts and delete it. Paste back that part. You have trimmed the part you wanted in Step 5.

Step 7. You can also add some fade out and more advanced effects in GarageBand.

Excuse my ignorance, but I assume GarageBand is Mac only?

MMhh... I do have OSX86 installed on my PC, but my iTunes liabrary is located in my Vista OS partition. Decisions, decisions.

    RiqTosh,
Ihave OSX86 in my PC too and all my musics are in Vista too.
But when I boot with the Mac partition, I am still able to go to my C: in Vista partition, arent you ?
I can easily drag and drop a file from my Desktop in Vista to my Desktop in Mac OS X.

SendSong lets you make ringtones right from your phone. So this doesn't replace it yet.
