    Default No incoming SMS

After downgrading to 1.0.2 (BB 4.01.13_G) and unlocking the SIM the iphone is running fine. Incoming and outgoing calls, Edge, outgoing SMS. Everything is ok.

But I can't receive SMS. Neither flash, voicemail or regular SMS. Also installing and trying aSMS doesn't show any incoming message.

Then I tested a little bit. I have a second SIM connected to the same telephone number. Only the last telephone I have switched on can be used. So far I send some SMS to the iphone (the other telephone was switched off). I waited some minutes, no SMS on the iphone. Then I switched on the other telephone and all the messages came in.
This means, that the SIM in the iphone doesn't accept incoming SMS. The sender can't deliver them. Is my interpretation correct?

    What can I do?

    Thx for your help.

Try another SIM card (like a prepaid one may be) with a totally different number (a different carrier if possible) and see if it works. This might help in pin pointing the source of the problem.

Sometimes when people have problems sending or recieving sms
reflashing the .eep fixes the problem.

    Guide

It's a very simple proccess, tested on my iphone 1.0.2.
1- Use iBrickr to install Mobile Terminal to your iphone
2- Use ibrickr to upload the file ICE03.14.08_G.eep & bbupdater to the /usr/bin/ directory of the iphone no need for the ICE03.14.08_G.fls.
3- Run the terminal application and type the following:
    cd /usr/bin/
    launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep
    launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

RESTART ur iphone and ur problem will be fixed. Enjoy incoming sms and outgoing call without any problems.
NO NEED TO UNLOCK UR PHONE AGAIN.

doing it on 4.0 modem firmware might prove harder as you would have to get the .eep file from the new firmware image
as I haven't seen it on this site.

I have heard about this workaround. After downgrade to 1.0.2 and before unlocking the SIM, I tried to replace the BB with 3.14.08. This fails - offcourse. And I think it will fail again. So, do you really think this could be a solution?

BTW: Also another SIM from another telephone company doesn't run.

i think it is not only about flushing baseband
i tried baseband flushing correctly several times (no in sms)
i changed to other several sims (sms works fine)

it is Sim related problem (only strange thing is that it will ocure after upgrade only)

    iphone experts can check why
