maybe i have a misunderstand of *nix accounts...

i've setup ssh and changed the root/mobile passwords.

however, when i run mobileterminal, i'm logged in as root without having to type the password. how does that work?

As the phone is already turned on, you are already "logged on", so to speak. Mobileterminal is just accessing the console.

If you SSH to it, you'll have to login.
