New iPhone with old iPhones Sim Card?
Ok here my situation I have a iPhone with a activated working AT&T sim card. When I put in my activated sim card into my new different iphone the phone says to connect to itunes to activate. So I plug it in and itunes as me for my last four digits of my social and my billing zip code. Then it goes into a page thats asking me to pick a iphone plan. I called Apple support and they said all I should have to do is just put my working sim into the iphone and it should work so they transfered me to a ATT rep and they said if I go through the activation process it will renew my 2yr ATT contract. Is this true? I have hear from people saying all they had to do was put there sim card in a new iphone and connect it to itunes then they were done. Anyone have any ideas Im starting to think that ATT rep didnt know what she was talking about, but i dont want to renew my contract.

After swaping the sim card did you have to connect to iTunes and run through the activation process before the iphone worked?
