iwas given a 3gs 16g, ialready have a phone but id like to use it as an ipod touch of sorts. iwiped the phone but now it seems locked and asking to get in touch with some itunes. ihate itunes and the bloated invasive software that comes with it. Any way to simulate itunes without touching the thing? Thank you for any pointers or answers.

If its an early model 3G[S] you can restore it with a pre-Hackivated firmware... if it is not then you MUST use iTunes to activated.
