Default Need to know firmware version

I have an iPhone here that has already been activated through AT&T by its previous owner, but as I don't use AT&T, it has to be "hack"tivated and unlocked...
OBS.: I'm stuck at the activation screen (with a cable pointing to iTunes)

The problem is I want to know the firmware version and use the correct activation/unlock procedure.... I DON'T WANT TO UPDATE TO 2.0 (and up).

How can I know my firmware version?
I've already tryed to dial *#3001#12345#* but nothing happens...

since u dont want 2.0 try restoring to 1.1.4
if it works then u have a 1.x.x if not then a 2.x.x and then u can downgrade

i suggest if the *3001#12345#* is not working to just restore to 1.1.4
