Only bookmark I have for a windows GUi is this

Reincubate: Labs: Backup Extractor for iPhone: extract and restore files from an iPhone backup on Windows, Linux and OS X

Only small downside to this is it can only extract one file at a time unless you pay

You should store all backup of your files so that you can get them back when you are in need of it. Now try restoring all your system data. Hope that works.
