Default Need a geek master on IphoneUpdater logs ...

    Hi all,

I need to restore my IPhone3GS as it does not work anymore. But when i try the restore with Itunes (latest version, installed on a new Windows 7 64bit PC), i got error 1611 with below logs. Could anyone tell me what the log means ?

Sorry, there aren't a lot of details in the log file. 1611 indicates that the restore failed very early on in the restore process (the problem could be with your IPSW, computer, usb port, cable or phone). There isn't anything in the log file that could point to a problem.

Did you try basic troubleshooting? Restart after iTunes install/upgrade, different USB port, cable or even a different computer.

    Default Thanks

Thanks for your answer. Yes i have tried basic tricks like rebooting, changing computer or taking a fresh new itunes on a new computer.
Only thing i could try next is using a different cable, but i'm not very optimistic.

The iphone is not under guarantee anymore, any advice on what i could do next ? (i will try different cable first)
