iBrickr is your best friend
Counting down for iPhone 2012 =)
Run AppTappInstaller it fixed it for me
"iBrickr is your best friend" Yes it is but give an information 'Green' screen need
iTunes to retore, it not work for me.
"Run AppTappInstaller it fixed it for me" AppTappInstaller for frimware 1.0.2 only
my iPhone befor dead already 1.1.1 same it not work for me.
I'm using XP and thank you for advise.
i dunno i'm confused from what i read.
you say ibrick worked...right
but you then get stuck and cant progress
but then say u can run apptapp??
so that means you were able to restore it it to jailbreak it?
when u say apptapp are you referring to appsnap on the jailbreakme.com site?
maybe if ya give more details as to exactly what you have done, and the state its in and what you did to try and fix it?
can you put the iphone in recovery mode?
when you sync it to itunes what does it say exactly?
how far did you get into ibrick?
once you use ibrick are you able to restore it to 1.1.1 using itunes?
iPhone in recover mode use iBrickr: (also DFU mode)
Begin downgrade to firmware 1.0.2
iTunes said the restore was successful, and my phone is working
iTunes said the restore failed, and I have a yellow triangle on my phone (iTunes Logo and connection cable on screen)
iTunes said the restore failed, and I have an iTunes logo on my phone
press on iTunes said the restore failed, and I have a yellow triangle on my phone
Attempting to fix...
Please wait while iBrickr tries to fix your phone.
If your iPhone display stays red, then your phone is okay, and is booting up now. Just wait, then go back to the iBrickr main screen.
If your iPhone display stays green, then you need to use iTunes to restore it.
My iPhone display on screen stays green.
I was try many times to retore by hold 'Shift'key + retore then find the frimware location ........
C:\Documents and Settings\9898jjj\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
1.0.2.ipsw( Download by iBrickr v 0.91 )
I already try all about frimware the answer is the same error 1604
I think the problem is when I press Shift+Retore iPhone screen will chage from that
Green screen to Apple Logo in between without an loading icon, just stuck there
by the Apple Logo until iTunes gave me an rerror message that is all.
When I run AppTappInstaller a message as below:
* iPhonecomm v2.0
Using 009-7698-4.dmg as the Ramdisk Image.
Using kernelcache.release.s518900xrb as the Kernel Cache.
Stage 0: 0 Looking for iPhone........
ConnectRecoveryCallback; Bad Stage:1
Stage 1: 1 Recovering.....
Stage 1: 2 Attempting to boot iPhone in normal mode......
Then just stop here nothing happen.
Hope this message is clear and thank you very much for your help!

Can any one please help me!
I had the same problem with my phone sometimes.
In my case iTunes detects my phone despite being stuck on apple logo.
Maybe it's only a permission problem?
In my case SSH worked also.
Check the permissions of the lockdownd file located in /usr/libexec/
Try to keep your phone off for about 24 hours.
That helped sometimes, too.
i tried posting this question on the apple forums. i've have gotten very good technical help there before.
at this point if ibrick dont work i'm at a lose and all i can think of is to task on the apple forums where, personally I've gotten better results.but there is a catch..
you cant ask for help if your iphone is hacked, so instead play dumb and simply state it wont restore from recovery mode and lets see what they say.
did you try rebooting windows, uninstalling itunes and re-installing it?
see if that helps.
