Ok, since the main 1.1.1 filesystem was decrypted, I decided to try copying over MobileStore.app. As expected, it crashed, so I looked at the logs, and copied over the two frameworks in the logs, iTunesStore.framework and ArtworkCache.framework. Still crashes however, and returns:

Symbol not found: _kGSTelephonyCapability
Referenced from: /System/Library/Frameworks/iTunesStore.framework/iTunesStore
Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/GraphicsServices.framework/GraphicsServices

Is it even worth proceeding from here? Is there even a way to make it work on 1.0.2? Just to appease my curiosity I heard something about something needed at activation to make it work, kindof like YouTube, is that true?

Honestly, i'm beginning to think it's really not going to be as straight forward as copying some files. I've been fiddling around for hours. Countless trashed OS's and resulting restores later, I'm still no closer than I was before I started. I mean, you'd think that copying every single file from the 1.1.1 dmg to a 1.0.2 phone would do something, right? Wrong. I set out to prove that the 1.1.1 jailbreak had a better alternative option, and ended up proving myself incorrect instead.

Don't get me wrong, somewhere out there is the right set of files that need to be copied to a 1.0.2 phone to make all the 1.1.1 improvements work, but good effing luck finding out which ones to copy. It's like bruteforcing the .ipsw DMG. If you did that to the 1.0.0 dmg, you'd still be churning for another couple of decades at the least. Possible? Yes. Practical? No way in hell.
