[Merged] Mac Only > Using GarageBand to Create Custom iPhone Ringtones.
Well Apple gave us a little pre Christmas present today... GarageBand now has built in ringtone making capabilities
You now can easily take any mp3 and turn it into an iPhone ringtone. GarageBand has advantages over iTunes because its allot more precise and you can cut the base frequencies to stop your ringtone from distorting on the iPhone.
I've created a tutorial detailing the process you can find it here:
PS. I have linked to the GarageBand update in the tutorial if you need it.
MAC only: iTunes 7.5 + GarageBand 4.1.1 = Custom Ringtones
With the new Update for GarageBand the MacUser can now create their own custom Ringtones and send them to iTunes to sync.
Just tested and can confirm working !!!
For some reason, when i run the the update i get an error saying " an eligible garageband file was not found in /Applications" and won't run the updater.
Im running Leopard which was updated from Tiger if thats any help.
Locked 1.1.1 --> Jailbroken + Unlocked 1.1.1 --> Upgraded to 1.1.2 --> Restored to 1.1.4 --> Unlocked + Jailbroken
