Default Maybe baseband have AT&T specific registration command

I wonder if the baseband have some AT&T specific network registration command that it send, that causing some other GSM operator problem.

Previously I had turbo sim method 2 operators worked ( IM3 prepaid, Indosat prepaid ),
    Simpati (Outgoing only)

Now using HW unlock method, 1 more operator XL Bebas prepaid worked also.

But one thing that I notice when I tried a postpaid Indosat Sim (Matrix) it give this Fixed Number Dialing Active and it become unusable no signal received. Matrix postpaid and Indosat prepaid is in the same GSM network.

I doubt the cause is a specific AT&T network command. If so, we should see a lot more reports of unlocked iphone w/o incoming call service.

IMO, it is more probable that the baseband lacks support for new gen SIM card. This theory can be tested if we could find an old version of simcard running on the same network (ie. find a first gen SIM card) and see if it works OK.

Hi, I have a HW unlcoked method on my 8G iPhone, Using the new generation of Sim card and old Sim card are the same, both of them cannot receive the incoming call for Maxis network in Malaysia. Out going and SMS in/out work perfectly fine.
