just recently the maps app, (google?) cant seem to find any uk postcodes properly sometimes when i put one in it jumps to a different country or cuts of the last letters,

Hey Dude!
Did you manage to fix this?
I have the same problem!!!
I am on 1.0.2 unlocked with anysim but I am trying to figure out why it doesnt work. If i put in a uk postcode it comes back as saying unknown location.
However I went to an apple store yesterday to try google maps on the uk iphones and it works perfectly
I am wondering whether this has been fixed on 1.1.1 it would so good to fix this so the maps app is actually useable.
If i want to look at baker street london for example I have to manually put in baker street, london, UK and it will come back with a pin but the pin is labelled "unknown location" and hence i cant use it for directions
We need to crack this!
can anyone who has 1.1.1 comment?

This has always been the same for me from 1.02 to 1.1.1 on my UK iPhone (from US). Google Maps will find the locations but always come up with "Unkown Location" meaning directions are useless. Never really bothered to look at it much, not very important for me.

I'm living in germany and whenever i open up the google maps from within a contact the application adds "United States" to the end of the location, although i marked most of my contacts located in germany.
Maybe this is the root of the problem?
