What i did was after you get the "Cannot connect using SSL" it asks if you want to try without SSL, just tap "NO" and then Save. Then it will ask you if you want this and that it might not work, tap "YES".
Go into settings, mail and the new account, advanced: turn SSL off both outgoing and incoming.

That worked for me anyways ...
