Ok, well, perhaps you need to add a little more information in your posting.

Yes... it SHOULD work... but if you're having difficulties getting it to work, that's a different question...

Is your wi-fi working for other things? Web Browsing, YouTube, etc?

The Mail program will use WiFi if it can, otherwise it will use Edge.

As for gmail, make sure POP access is enabled on your gmail account...the same page will tell you how to access your email via POP, and you can enter those settings into the Mail app on your iPhone.

Thanks, you solved my problem too. I didn't realize I had to turn on POP access within Gmail.

    Hi

Anybody knows how much iPhone will download of an email with attachment? Lets say I get a 10MB attachment, and I rather not download it. Can I do that?

I am coming from WM (sucks I know) and there I could set that I want to download the first 5kb of the email, and get the rest only on demand.

The problem is that I am forwarding my corp email to my IMAP account to pick up with the phone, and I often get large attachments.

    Thanks

    Ben

In Gmail (in the web browser), go to Settings (top right of the page) -> Forwarding & POP -> POP Download -> Enable
