I unblocked my iphone one week ago, it was everything going fine, till yesterday, when my battery was almost off and I tried to recharge my iphone on a ipod video recharger cable.
As I saw it wasn't working (recharging), I turned it off, and saw the image of a red battery and a little white plug.
As I got home, I tried to recharge it on the original cable (AC and computer) all night long and NOTHING.

NO RESPONSE.

IT'S NOT TURNING ON ANYMORE.

Any one can help me, please?

Did you try rebooting the phone by keeping pressed the home button and sleep/power buttons? If not give it a try.

i think you burnt your phone, i've heard that people charging their phones with car chargers actually burns the phone, maybe thats what happened to you

some accessories are not made for the iphone therefore the motherboard fries...

I've seen couple other people reporting the same issue. The common thread is that they all let battery down all the way.

same thing happened to me i put it on charge on a car charger didnt charge so got home and placed it in its dock then it went mental and screen kept flixering and then it died. i tried replacing battery and even after replaced iphone still wouldnt turn on.

I've been charging my iphone at work with a Firewire connector from my old iPod. It's been ok except for last Friday when it suddenly got very very hot while plugged in. Took it off immediately. Ive been watching over it since.

Now you got me scared... I use a charger that came with my old mini iPod.
It has a firewire connector too... I've used it since I bought my phone, no problem at all, but you said you didnt have problems, and suddenly the SAME cherger fried ur phone ? Is that correct ? If so, I should stop using it...

So, can you tell me which charger burnt ur phone ? Thanks

It's still working fine, but I noticed that it got really really hot halfway through the charge. Later that day I got half way through watching a movie after this full charge and noticed my battery was half dead! Recharged it again with a proper dock with no ill effects. Battery seems to be holding it's charge now.

Other posts on here suggest that a crashed app may be hogging the processor time. I've restarted the phone and it hasn't got hot again since.

but I'm going to be really careful if I do use the firewire again. It was from a third generation iPod.
