problem is... it isnt mine... its from a friend...

he came to me with this bricked one and i tried to help, because he isnt quite familiar with the whole iphone thing (only used it)
he said, that it freezes at the end of a call and didn`t lets to turn off anymore...
as he tried to call himself from another phone to wake it up again, he heard it ringing from the "caller-phone" but his iphone still stayed freezed and didnt say anything...
he tried to get it in restore-mode several times and eventually it works... he tried to restore it with itunes, and there was the error message for the first time...

i don´t know exactly, what he tried at home with itunes after that... but i think he f***ed up is iphone in a way...

until now, i solved every problem with iphones from friends, but his seemed to be really bricked :/

don't know what to do anymore...

what exactly happens if we would let the battery die completely? the iphone turns it off itself, when it realizes that battery is low, so he has to put it on a few times manually for letting the battery die completely, doesn´t he?

orry for the short replies I am at work on 1 bar of edge but hopefully letting it die and plugging it in will give you access to the main screen and maybe time to reset the settings from the phone itself, and maybe if iTunes sees it as normal at least restore it

I hate to say this but your problem is simple!

You have iTunes won't work on your PCtitis... its obviously contagious!

Unfortunately sometimes iTunes won't restore because its just like a woman and wants to bitch instead of do what its meant to - and sometimes you can be so unlucky that more than one computer decides to be bitchy.

Basically what I am saying is try another computer and it will work - I would also put it in DFU mode just to be doubly sure...

How unlucky is it that two computers would both not work? very unlucky especially with a Mac and PC but it does happen...

I had two PCs - one a desktop and one a laptop BOTH give me 1604 errors and various other errors before - in the end it only worked on my Mac - and so I think you have the same run of bad luck - try another computer and if you don't have one try it at your friends house!
