I've read about the ability for a laptop to use the iphone as a socks proxy, to permit tethered web browsing. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that will work for general usage / apps that do not have socks support, such as my laptop to a win mobile phone via bluetooth, where I then use vpn on the laptop to remote into another network.

A lot of attention is being paid to the unlock, which is a really good thing and certainly the item most folks are interested in, I was curious if anyone has heard anything new regarding tethered connections w/o the need for socks.
