Default Keyboard sound from iTouch on iPhone?

I played a little with an iPod Touch. I noticed that it had a different keyboard click. It was really nice. The one in the iPhone sounds like an old typewriter and is annoying as h*ll!

Does anyone know how to get the keyboard click for the iTouch onto the iPhone?

The click on the iTouch is generated by a piezoelectric clicker, which is very different electronically from the speaker the iPhone uses. This is due to the fact that the iTouch has no internal speaker so the KB clicks must be generated by something else. AFAIK, the iPhone has no clicker, just a speaker, so I don't think it's possible short of emulating the sound through the speaker and swapping some files.

    Is it really that annoying?

You must replace files dtmf-x.caf in
    /System/Library/Audio/UISounds.

Create your own sounds *.wav and rename it in dtmf-1.caf, dtmf-2.caf...... dtmf-pound.caf and dtmf-star.caf.

    Replace and reboot

Are those the keyboard clicks? Judging by their names, I would have thought them to be the dtmf tones from the keypad.

Yeah, those aren't the keyboard clicks. I thought he was being pretty clear.
