i was jailbreaking my ipod to 4.2.1 and redsnow froze or something. i clicked cancel and unplugged the ipod. i plugged it back in and tried factory restoring it and it starts restoring but then an error message " 1611 " comes up.
i looked quickly on the apple website and it says it's a hardware error ( but i can't be? right? )

i have updated itunes and i still get the 1611 error
this isn't even my ipod

Please help D:

iTunes tried to enter the Restore Mode, but the device turned back to the Recovery Mode.

Can be caused by incorrect iTunes/mobile device version or a hardware problem or a problem with the IPSW you are trying to restore with.

Redownload the correct IPSW for your iPod version... from here http://www.hackint0sh.org/f127/22056.htm and shift-click restore in iTunes (option-click restore on mac) then browse to the IPSW you just downloaded.
