Default jumps to homescreen without sense !

    hey,

Maybe i have some serious problem with my iphone ( or it just could be due to some settings).

While playing around with google maps (W-lan) it jumps to the homescreen without any sense !
I didnt press the homebutton !

This happened a few times, always after a short time playing around with google maps ( about 30 sec ?) it jumped to the homescreen.

Can someone imagine what the problem is ?
Is there an function which brings you to homescreen ( say for example if you tap one the corner or sth like this) which i dont know ?
It doesnt this out of the ipod funktion.

My hope it that its due to some settings and someone of you knows it and can help me solve this.

    Thanks for your help !

    Flo

Well, some of the phones have been a little prone to "crashing". Mine crashes when I overwork Safari as well as when I overwork Google Maps. When an app crashes it usually takes you back to the home screen.

I have found to minimize crashes for now, take it easy and let what ever you are doing load. This helps me anyway.

There are crashing problems reported on many forums, hopefully Apple's updates will take care of them.

Hope this helped. Lets see what everyone else says.

I should have mentioned my iPhones have crashed maybe a total of 5-7 times total since purchased. My first iPhone exhibited the exact behavior. Some have reported lots of crashes, if thats the case maybe have it replaced.

I experienced the same problems. It started with a sudden jump to the homepage in from Safari and after a few days things got worse and happened from almost any application, including ipod. Very annoying and making it impossible to use your iPhone normally.

I think that the OS gets overloaded by runnning constantly all these multitasking applications for days or weeks.

The solution: reboot your iPhone by holding the power button for like 10 seconds and turn it on again. You should see the white apple logo when the iPhone restarts. Hope this helps for you.

    Good luck

Rebooting? You mean like restarting your phone? That doesn't delete anything...
