hi all, subject pretty much says it all. am contemplating goin through the steps to bring my currently unlocked 1.0.2 iPhone up to 1.1.2 tonight but am balking over the fact that iWorld might not have an option for my locale, Thailand namely... can anyone confirm whether iWorld will support my country or not before i take the plunge?

Why don't you just install it and see for yourself? If you don't want it, just uninstall.
