Default [iTunes] Suddenly lost ~500mb of disk space..

Well, I synced my iPhone for the first time in a few days today. iTunes reported that I have 977mb remaining, while I had ~1.4gb remaining a few days ago. My "other" section is 225mb, while it was around 50-80mb before.

I don't have exact values of previous disk space usage.

I attempted to clear the installer.app cache, which only resolved 14mb.

I don't have mobilefinder installed, so there was no cache from it.
I followed the previous thread of where the cache's were located.

Today when syncing, iTunes did not sync my photos. The option to sync from iPhoto was unchecked.

I decided to sync again, but it didn't say "deleting photos from iPhone."

I suspect that there is a duplicate library of my iPhoto photos (which is only 395) somewhere on the phone, but I can't seem to find it.

I dont have swaptunes or the photo library equivalent installed, nor did I ever install them.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to retrieve my lost space?

    Thanks.

All I have installed is drunknbass' proof of concept video recorder which doesn't save anything it records.

I didn't find any cache for it either.

    Hi,

    similar case is mine.
i've lost all space which was allocated for music. Suddenly all music is not accessible in iPhone owrking as iPod.
Manual removal of music files using iPhone Browser didn't helped and still all space seems to be allocated in iTunes (7.4 and 7.6) by 'other' data than music/photo (iPhone reports the same).
    Any idea what's wrong?
