Hi, im facing this weird problem all of a sudden with my IPhone 1.0.2 unlocked.
2 days back i was syncing a movie in IPhone through Itunes 7.3.0xx. suddenly the sync process hanged and poped a msg that i tunes sync time out. since then whenever i connect my iphone through USB it doesnt show the 8gb HDD + i cannot upload any movie cause the error " iphone sync timeout " disconnects my phone. btw i am using windows vista home premium. and I can sync songs without any problem or error. Any solutions?

I am on vista home premium too and I did encountered the problem before. In the end, I upgraded my phone to 1.1.2. It did help but I do not know how relevant it is...

I keep having the same problem with 2 different XP machines, my 3rd one works fine.
I read that a powered usb hub should make a difference. I tried one, I tried all ports and I disconnected all other usb devices. No luck so far.

I always happens at different stages of the sync and after a couple of times it works but mostly only once. The more data to sync the higher the chance for it to hang.

I had the same problem with the Ipod touch and with the virgin 1.12. ootb and at 1.1.1 as well as at 1.1.3 now.

The apple geniouses in NY also had no idea...

have the same problem here. only on 1 pc . winxp
only jailbreaked iphone 1.1.4

starts syncing then dies after some seconds and after some time gives me the timeout

on my laptop everything is ok. but on the laptop i only have usb1.0
