After the unlock iTunes connects, drops, connects, then drops the connection with the phone. You can here the phone connection beep going off and on.

Anyone seen this? Still 7.3 FWIW with 1.0.2 unlocked firmware.

He Seb, have you tried re-installing iTunes yet? I am away from home, haven't had a chance. Thinking also if your on a MAC maybe delete the itunes plist and let it make a new one....? just a thought. Will give it a go when I get home.

Its happens due to a USB hub power shortage. Connect directly rather than through a hub.

I got this as well directly into my PC without any hub,
I solved it by plugging my iphone into the AC charger for 20 mins and then after it was fully charged then I plugged it in to the PC.
Then it all worked fine with no issues since.
