Hi. Since last time I jailbreaked my iPhone 2G to 1.1.4, I can't see it on iTunes. I connect it to my laptop and Windows sees it like a regular pictures device, but iTunes says nothing about an iPhone connected. I've tested it on another machines where iTunes works with another iPhones, with same results: iTunes doesn't see my iPhone. And now, well... can't go to 2.0 firmware because of this. Although, I'm not interested specifically on iTunes, as I use */Linux as my regular OS.

Must I put it on DFU mode and just wait that pwnagetool do the work? Or this failure on iTunes just means that I've no way to update it?

Try the DFU way.

yes you will......ur itunes will recognise iphone in dfu. many times even though itunes fails to recognise iphone in normal mode but it always works with DFU. That is unless ur Daock connecter is not working and ur obviously is since its recognised as a camera

have you tried uninstalling itunes and reinstalling
have u used a different cable. mayb the cables dock connector has broken

I connected another iPhone right in this computer and it worked, so I think it's an iPhone issue...
