    Default [iTunes] Can't sync mp4 movies

    Hello All,
    Im sure this is noob problem. I just got a macbook, also a 1.1.2 iphone otb. I jailbreak and updated to 1.1.2. I just ripped a dvd movie using handbreak...I can import it TO ITUNES IN MPEG4 FORMAT. Once in ITUNES, when I try to put it to my iphone, it gives me an ERROR. What am I doing wrong??
    thanks

    did you choose the iphone option in handbrake?
    iPhone US W46 OTB 1.1.2
    -> fully restored to 1.1.3 with iTunes
    -> fully unlocked to carrier blau.de with ZiPhone

    I had this very same issue, and later I discovered I had forgot to change Audio from Dolby to Stereo...

    If it is a working playing movie in QuickTime, i dont think it will be anymore advanced than to rename it to .m4v at the end.
    Then youŽd have to reload it into iTunes ofcourse. If you buy Quicktime pro, you can convert movies in QuickTime itself..

    I just did this myself yesterday =)

    fatmax, you are a genius! it sounds simple but that has had me stumped for months trying to figure out how to get iTunes to recognize my movies! i have several mp4 files that have already been converted from avi using Cucusoft iPhone Video Suite, but i couldn't get iTunes to accept or recognize the files. i tried dragging and dropping, "add file to library" "add folder to library" and your simple filename change fixed everything! thanks man!!!

    According to Apple official website, iPad/iTunes is only compatible with H.264, MPEG-4 or Motion JPEG video format with the following specifications:

    * If it is H.264 video, it should meet: up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
    * If it is MPEG-4 video, it should meet: up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
    * If it is Motion JPEG (M-JPEG), it should meet: up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format.

    If the MP4 video is not in the above technical specification, you will fail to transfer MP4 to iTunes or fail to play MP4 on iPad or iPad2.

    In order to solve this problem, just google search MP4 to iPad - How to Play MP4 on iPad/iPad2 successfully

    you will find a step by step guide on how to convert MP4 to iPad format for easy transfer MP4 to iTunes/iPad/iPhone/iPod and more. Edit/Delete Message
