Default iTunes can't see 1.1.1 iPhone after attempted YouTube Activation

So I guess it's not all OK after all. I was attempting to enable youtube (unsuccessfully I might add) only to find that iTunes no longer sees it. Interestingly, iASign --state says it is unable to determine the state because of a bus error.. It worked before I attempted to enable youtube, so I'm guessing that's where the problem has come from.

The iPhone vibrates when its plugged in, and shows the 'charging' logo, but iTunes doesn't react to it's presence at all.

    Any ideas?

Fortunately for me iTunes still detects it when I put it in recovery mode, so if push comes to shove I can restore back to 1.0.2 and start again from the top. I'd rather not though of course, so I'm posting up here to see if anyone else has any ideas.

Thanks to all the devs for the tools and help that have got me this far, any suggestions on how to fix whatever went wrong would be most appreciated.

    Thanks!

Turns out this was caused by incorrect YouTube activation instructions, and it appears to be unfixable. As a result I'e restored to 1.0.2 and am going to leave upgrading again till the process has been simplified somewhat, and YouTube activation has been sorted explicitly.

    Case closed!

I also had an issues with iTunes ignoring my iPhone - I deleted the file(s) in the /root/Library/Lockdown/pair_records folder and then it worked out fine after a reboot.

Don't add dash. It will cause problems.
