I got a Ipod touch gen 2. It is stuck in a rocovery loop of some sort. I got it this way.

When I try to recover it with Itunes with new or old firmware I get error code 1611, and a couple times I got 1600, I have tried everything I have read searching, tried fully removing Itunes and reinstalling, tried different USB ports, tried dfu and recovery a dozen times, checked my fire wall, and checked to see if bonjour and device support were turned on in control panel, tried messing with my driver folder, and tried a different computer to no avail.

I tried using tiny umbrella and thats where I got the farthest, when I try to kick it out of recovery loop, it says "green poison" unable to find ...... then a bunch of letters run the screen, then it shuts off and back to recovery loop it goes. this is what that screen looks like....

So then I thought HEY maybe it just needs re jail broken... But I dont know what firmware I have, redsnow said something about 3.1.2 in a log while messing with it so Im guessing thats what I have but I could be wrong...

So I tried backrain for 3.1.2 and It just freezes, I tried redsnow, and it freezes, and I tried a new version of green poison (couldnt find a 3.1.2 version) and it acctually said jail break complete but nothing has changed with the function of the ipod....

Anythoughts? I have read that it could be the battery or corrosion on the connector? But I am hoping this is a software problem and not a hardware problem...

Thanks so much!
