i hope this is the right forum to post this but,

i am running 1.1.4 on my unlocked jailbroken i phone i noticed that when i recieve a text message and push the "close" open on the pop up window the badge that over the sms app disappears, if i left my phone for awhile and came back i would have no idea that i had an sms is there a fix for this?

edit : also i have the ulitity" task bar notifier" the icons do not display when i recieve an sms or an email
