ipsf vs anysim. Does anysim actually do demage?
I'm reading around a bit.
I got 3 iphones. 2 with turbo sim. 1 unlocked with anysim. I have another friend who wants me to unlock his phone. But should I use anysim again?? Since anysim method create some invalid sim issue(IMEI 004999010640000) if upgrade to 1.1.1(not that he will upgrade)
1) Does it mean that ppl should not use anysim anymore? since it can never be repaired.? Hence, even if 1.1.1 is hacked. Damaged phones can not fixed? OR it is possible to fix in the future.
2) ipsf software seems to be ok even after current 1.1.1 udpate (without IMEI error). so it seems more promising that once 1.1.1 got jailbreaked in the future, phones can be activated quickly. unlike the anysim method, it will still required to be repaired (unknown if possible at this point)
So does it mean I should tell my friend not to get the iphone this weekend? cos even if I unlock for him with anysim, His phone is actually "demaged" and will never be able be updated in the future?
Thanks for any insights.
interesting concept, but the dev team is making a relocker for those on unlocked 1.02 that will then allow you to update without any errors so it would be slightlly incorrect to say that the phone is damaged as anyone with a clue would lock the phone before updating as they should know that anysim changes the baseband which will create trouble when updating.
the phones can be relocked for update now using a virgin restore and then they won't fail or brick when updating, but for 1.1.1 you can only use att sim at the moment
So 100% it's possible to revert before update to 1.1.1 in the future(even if it means att only)?
I have no idea what actually go changed on the phone during the anySim method... I guess any software base changes... can be reverted?
