IphoneSimFree a wonderful Scam?
Dears,
up to now i was kind of keen on believing on the ISF solution, for the simple reason that there was not a single reason for why they would be faking all of that (no ads on their site, nothing sold, etc.).
But as of now, i understand that they are selling the software asking for some $2,000 a shot minimum, with advanced payment, etc.
Now, this is certainly a reason to scam. Collect the money for 24/48 hours and then goodbye.
As far as i understood, they only accept bank orders, which takes 1-2 working days before being registered. So what can happen is that people start paying, and ISF has 2 full days of legitimate "technical time" to fullfill the order before people start to shout.
My (obvious) advise is:
1- WAIT GUYS...WAIT UNTIL some dozens of people dont confirm this is working.
2- Dont be scared about ISF being shut down by legalblabla...even if this happens, by that time their activation system will have already been cracked
3- Do yourself a favour...wait before doing anything until September 5th...there is a good chance that some big features are being added to the iphone...

Nah.......for 36 bucks it's worth the fun..
where's your sense of excitement ?

I think they should put up a real video of the software unlock in action before people go crazy and transfer huge amounts of money to them.

The one thing that is clear is these guys intend to remain anonymous. Even Engadget and CNN don't appear to know who they really are. Asking for loads of money to be bank transfered is a big risk for whoever does it. I can live with losing $36 or even $60 to a scam, but not thousands of dollars.
Given the lengths they have gone to to protect their identities there must be a serious risk they will just disappear overnight.

yeah everyone can live with loosing 36 or 60 usd. But they can really live with thousands of 36's and 60's hehe.

I wonder how much has been spent on trying to free the iPhone from its sim lock. Between Turbosims, Supersims, Supersim Readers, Bricked Phones, Ebay Scams, and now this, we could have sent the dev team to space....

I have a few reasons y i doubt it is a scam..
1. Engadget confirmed it. Engadget are not idiots and are not going to be tricked easily.
2. If it was a scam they wouldn't have take so long to release it.
3. Bank transfer means if the buyer doesn't get there unlocks tomorrow, just stop the transfer with your bank before it goes through.
4. They just moved there web server to The Netherlands, because they have less strict laws on digital data.
The whole reason it has taken so long, is because they don't want to be sued. So moving the server to Netherlands and selling only the Ability for Another person to unlock your phone, takes them completely out of the spotlight, and they can not be sued.
Rontonic, if they released a video, all the doubters would still find a way to say its a fake video.

Also it makes a certain amount of sense on their part to hold off releasing it until the same day (Sept 5) as Apple releases new firmware. This way Apple won't get a chance to reverse engineer the unlock until 1.04.

Hi All,
You know what's odd?!?!?!!?
"jprooney" started a pool amounting to almost 100 pieces (licenses). The payment method was through PayPal as instructed. Then, I found "jprooney" putting himself/herself down for 2 licenses in a forum authored by "Trash" who started selling single licenses off of Ebay AUS.
Why would someone go thru the effort and pool together 20 some user amounting to 100 licenses and buy 2 from someone else???
