When I first read on Engadget about iphonesimfree.com I was ecstatic.

We haven't heard a word for days and now I'm getting skeptical. On the iphonesimfree website they are requesting publications to come forward to test their solution and yet they only have Engadget as the sole outlet to say their SW works. The video that Edgadget provided us has obvious flaws. I mean why not just have the entire video (no edits) for all of us to see. Would that have been to easy?

If there were say 3 or even 2 outlets who could claim that iphonesimfree is the real deal than this would be a whole lot more believable.

I mean what publication wouldn't want to test this... this is possibly one of the biggest hyped gadgets of all time and has received so much press. It would undoubtedly create much more traffic on their sites.

It's just not adding up.

I've been asking myself the same question. I'm specifically aware of at least a couple of other publications that have inquired and received no response.

It's possible that they considered Engadget sufficient publicity that they didn't feel the need to deal with anybody else. It's also possible that they were looking for folks who were in the local area so that they could provide a hands-on demonstration.

The silence does appear quite deafening, however...

I really hope they come through, but I won't be surprised if they don't.

Well it's not exactly a video or anything but the NY Times did interview the guys from iPhonesimfree, did they not?

Interviewed, yes. They did not, however, receive any proof or evidence of an actual unlock solution. Therefore, this really proves very little.

Let's not forget that Macworld interviewed Uniquephones as well, which doesn't really prove anything either.
