Yes, we shouldn't let someone who spent hundreds of hours creating a solution get any money out of it. Aren't you guys being a little cold hearted?

My only problem is that if there weren't any DEV Team there wouldn't be a jailbreak, SSH, and IPSF would be ussles or not existing. If they are so smart why don't they creat theyr own jailbreak and activation software. They are sellin somebody else work.

    Sry for my english.

These guys have already had at least several tens of thousands of dollars wired to them. I would presume they priced their offering knowing full well that if it's breakable (i.e. it doesn't rely on a server-side unlock code generator - that would be more-or-less unbreakable) that it will be reversed in a few weeks time at most.

Also it's hard to feel sympathy for guys who've acted like complete sketchballs all along, even if they are coming through with a product in the end.

Furthermore, they've piggybacked entirely on the Dev Team's work. I don't see any money flowing from them to the Dev Team, do you? And I'm supposed to feel sorry for these guys?

Cold hearted? This is a hackers comunity not a charrity and if some one thinks that they will get away with this they are very wrong. Plus they already know that a strike back from the DEV team is on the way.

Only thing i wonder... I saw on the license agrement of the iPhone that selling/reselling software that is modifing the original software is punishable.

It's ok to hack your own phone or others but without a charge so in my opinion what they are doing now will have big repercautions at Apple and they will take act of it.

I will sit back and watch the show, cause i already HW unlocked my phone wich i consider to be safer than any sw.

You won't learn much from the app itself,...it's the traffic between the app (i.e. your phone) and their servers which contains the payload. The app is downloading and running some code on your phone.

Still, it will eventually get figured out. Someone will solve it.

I disagree, it sounds like the app actually does the unlock and just checks back with the ipsf's server to see if you paid, i.e. your IMEI is registered. If so, the unlock becomes active, in other words, it does not seem to me that you are getting additional 'traffic' containing an unlock from their servers.

dude, if it wasnt getting any files from the server, and just checking for a imei, it wont have taken so long to prepare for the unlock and during the cleanup. They are definitely downloading some files onto the phone and then removing them.
FYI, it was wifi we were working on...

May be the app check if the iemi is registered, then download the code to do unlock. After unlock, the code will be cleaned up.
