anyone working on using the iPhone WiFi (or bluetooh) capabilities to allow wireless excahnges between units ? such as transfering a file or picture o mp3 song..?

I have not found anythng on this areas, and it would be very interesting to set either wireless technologies available on the iPhone to allow some sort of exchange between unit !

i think he means transfering songs via bluetooth from one iphone to another..
just like any other mobile phone with bluetooth can!

I can SSH too, not exactly what I was looking for though, what I mean is a nice GUI for easy transfer of any media from iPhone to iPhone, even with a wifi equiped laptop now that you mention it.

Current flow is ussually from LAPTOP to iPhone via a WiFi AP, what I would like to see is an iPhone converted into an AP (Internet Sharing on a MAC Laptop) and allow via this "AP" to connect other iPhone and exchange Media within them back and forth.

Please read carefully. We all know what SSH means. What i'm looking for is iphone to iphone directly over WiFi and allow media exchanges. not iphone-to-pc-to-iphone !

not exactly what i'm looking for, send file requires a PC or MAC in between, I would like to see an application that work directly from iphone to iphone via wifi with a GUI media exchange center, a really portable media sharing center.

If you're on the same network, then shouldn't the two iPhones have different IP? Therefore you could scp from one to the other?

Now as far as no wifi available, and 2 iPhones creating their 'own' wifi to share, that'd be quite a nice feature.
I haven't seen that even setup for bluetooh, as there need to be a 'host' and the other connect to it.

First step would be to have a scp type APP that would allow you to view the available wireless devices.
Then select your buddy's icon, they would set a special password for sharing, and upon connection you'd type it up.
Once you're sftp'd in, you can simply drag and drop.

I like theory I'll let the smart people chime in on how this could really work.
