Iphone Version Check!
Hi guys, as some of you might know, i bought my iphone today in the UK from the apple shop! just expected it to be the normal one which i would bypass to use my o2 sim card in it! OMFG just found out it is week 43 and the modem firmware version is 04.02.13_G . Right ok so does this mean that i can unlock the phone fully? so its version 1.1.1? read the faq and everything, got a bit confused i think, just wanted to get a defo confrimation!
Thanks

version 1.1.1 = 04.01.13_G baseband most likely, so you probably have 1.1.2 with the new bootloader...no go

It depends what version your baseband is. I believe that you may be okay. You have to use bbupdater to check the version of the baseband. I have read information on these forums before about it, so you may want to use the search. If you have baseband 3.9 you can unlock it, but i am unsure of all the details.

go ahead and activate it and check to see if its 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 anyway. if its 1.1.1 then you are in luck, otherwise i wouldnt try to unlock it because it wont work. if you really want to be sure you should check the bootloader version. search the forum for the howto. good luck.
